PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Saturday said that the government was not in danger despite the furore in the political arena over the secret memo written and sent allegedly on the behest of President Asif Ali Zardari to retired US admiral Mike Mullen.
“The issue will be resolved as promised in the National Assembly,” FTNews quoted the premier as saying here on Saturday.
Gilani said it was the right of political parties to remove a government through constitutional means.
However, he warned that unconstitutional steps to remove the incumbent government would not be tolerated.
The prime minister said every Pakistani child was against terrorism.
He further said that the government was focusing on the tribal region and that all decisions would be made keeping the national interests in sight.
