LAHORE: All CNG filling stations in Lahore, Gujranwala, Multan and Sahiwal regions remain closed on Monday for a three days CNG closure from Monday to Wednesday to comply with the gas shortage management plan.
Many buses and wagons remained off the roads due to the closure of CNG stations.
People faced problems in reaching their destinations due to a dearth of public transport.
Buses, wagons and rickshaws demanded inflated fares.
In the provincial metropolis and at G.T. road a large number of people kept waiting for public transport as several vehicles remained off the roads.
Taking advantage of the situation, rickshaw drivers charged according to their own wills while wagons on city routes charged extra five to 10 rupees.
